Français et découverte de la montagne
Program offered in June. Levels A2–B2. This program aims to introduce mountain sports activities while improving French language skills. It is open to everyone, with no required level of French or prior sports experience. Activities include mountain biking, via ferrata, orienteering, hiking, climbing and canyoning. The program combines the expertise of the CUEF – University Center for French Studies at Université Grenoble Alpes for FLE, and the University Sports Service for the sports component, whose instructors are specialists in sports pedagogy and passionate about mountain activities.

Throughout France, almost 2,000 companies in the industrial, commercial, craft, agricultural and service sectors, as well as research laboratories, are open to the general public all year round as part of the Entreprise & Découverte programme. The aim of this programme is to enhance and promote the company visit or know-how tourism sector. Géraldine welcomes you to the heart of the Sainte-Baume Regional Nature Park. A qualified and experienced French teacher, passionate about life and a trained hiker, she will guide you on the paths of the Sainte-Baume Natural Park, starting from her house in the centre of the village of La Roquebrussanne. Convinced by her experience that walking is an activity that is conducive to language learning and the development of oral language, she offers you a tailor-made stay that combines learning French with hiking.

Laetitia and Sylvain welcome you to their home in Haute-Provence, in a typical mountain hamlet. The immersion is total. It is first of all linguistic thanks to tailor-made French courses and guided conversations during meals. It is also an immersion in the local cultural universe: nature sports - hiking, canyoning, canoeing, rafting, via ferrata, paragliding - the perched villages and the surrounding rural world - organic market gardening, honey, cheese, livestock, hemp, artisanal soaps, sourdough bread. This immersion course gives you the chance to meet the people of France. With your teacher, you’ll meet French people in their homes, at work and in their environment. They will talk to you about what they are passionate about: their job (social worker, policeman, farmer, baker, architect) or their community involvement (political, environmental, humanitarian, social). The morning’s class work (grammar, vocabulary) will be put into practice in the afternoon so that you can learn to speak in real-life situations. Thanks to this immersion course, you will discover and understand French society and its inhabitants a little better. Language, cooking, culture. You’ve already studied French, you know the vocabulary, you’ve mastered the basics, but when it comes to speaking, something happens. Join us for an intimate week at our château in Saint-Germain-des-Prés in the Dordogne Region, where you will finally bridge the gap between knowing French and speaking it with confidence: at local markets, historic sites, wine tastings and meals prepared by chefs trained at Le Cordon Bleu. Teaching is provided by experts in small group class.

“Exploring” Higher Education in France. For those considering academic studies in France, Curriculum France provides an excellent opportunity to improve French language proficiency while gaining insights into the French higher education system. In addition to general French language courses, participants may take specialised modules in French for Academic Purposes (FAP) and/or French for Specific Purposes (FSP). The programme also includes visits of Toulouse university campuses, participation in a local higher education forum, and a range of cultural activities.
