At the heart of the Toulouse-Barcelona-Montpellier triangle, the University Center for French Studies (Centre Universitaire d’Études Françaises - CUEF) at the University of Perpignan combines academic excellence with Mediterranean warmth and lifestyle. Nestled between the majesty of the Pyrenees and the azure Mediterranean, the University of Perpignan flourishes in one of Europe’s sunniest regions. This is where CUEF has been writing its finest chapters in language teaching for 35 years. From complete beginners to advanced speakers, the center offers general and specialized French courses. The academic year follows two semester programs (September–December and January–May), providing a direct pathway to earning university diplomas (DUEF, DUFI, DUFOU). During the summer, in June and July, flexible short-term options spanning one to four weeks allow students to combine study with a vacation feel. Beyond the classroom, CUEF serves as an international center of expertise and a reference exam center (TCF, TEF, Examen Civique). However, its true strength lies in its support system: with housing assistance and a rich program of cultural and sports activities, the center provides far more than training : it offers complete immersion. In Perpignan, French isn’t just learned on a blackboard; it is lived every day.
