The BES is seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic, caring and fluent teacher of French (mother-tongue competence) to teach the full age range of secondary school students. French is a compulsory subject for all students of Years 7 to 11 : Year 12 students can choose French as one of their IAL level options. The ability to communicate and read English at a reasonable level is also an absolute requirement.
Benghazi European Secondary School (ages : 11 - 18) is a small, private community school in Benghazi, Libya. The school operates under the auspices of the Greek Community with the Greek consulate housed on the same campus. The school has an outstanding reputation for excellence : class sizes are not allowed to exceed eighteen and admittance to the school is by entrance tests in Mathematics and English.
