Tasks and duties under the supervision of the Director
1. Courses coordination
Administrative duties, conducted with the help of the Academic Assistant
– Create the trimester time schedule and yearly planning
– Organize 2 pedagogical meetings per term
– Manage and update online platforms such as Hanaf and Apolearn
– Organize end-of-term evaluations for all classes
– Organize seminars, workshops, course-related events (A/O Level ; Teacher Training ; Language contests…)
2. Exams coordination (DELF/DALF – TEF)
Administrative duties, conducted with the help of Academic Assistant
– Plan and organize TEF ; DELF-DALF exams and DELF DALF mock exams
– Manage candidates and results
3. Pedagogical coordination
– Create end-of-term evaluations for all classes
– Animate 2 pedagogical meetings per term
– Plan the course content for all classes
– Assess placement tests on demand
– Conduct class observations - 1 official evaluation per teacher per year with debrief and career progression meeting
– Ensure teachers’ access to course material, resources and training opportunities
– Initiate pedagogical working groups for teachers and interns
4. Teaching & Examinations
– Give French classes in accordance with AFK requirements of quality and content
– Take part in the assessment of all DELF-DALF, TEF and Mock DELF-DALF exams
5. Teachers & Interns management
– Inform teachers of their time schedule & get the letter of appointment signed (per term)
– Ensure the quality of teachers’ work and wellbeing
– Supervise interns from France and local interns
– Engage with students relatively to their satisfaction of the content of the classes
6. Communication
– Report to the Director on a daily basis
– Input external communication on courses (website updates, posters creation…)
– Liaise with French partners (publishers, network, platforms etc.)

Qualified French Teacher ; Fluent in Sinhalese and/or in English, a minimum level of French (C1) is required ; Excellent communication and organization skills
