The BES is seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic, caring and fluent teacher of French (mother-tongue com petence) to teach the full range of secondary school students. French is a compulsory subject for all students of Years 7 to 11 : Year 12 students can choose French as one of their International A Level (EDEXCEL) options. The ability to communicate and read English at a reasonable level is also an absolute requirement.
The BES is a small, mixed community, private secondary school in Benghazi. It is accredited as a centre for the International Examinations of Pearson EDEXCEL - Centre Number 94311. All our students sit the Lower Secondary examinations at the end of Year 9. At the end of Year 10 all students sit First Language English Language B and English Literature. Year 11 students sit IGCSEs in 10 to 12 subjects and Year 12/13 students sit 3 or 4 A level subjects. Classes are never larger than 19 students. The school has an excellent reputation in the community.
