We seek an energetic and caring fluent French speaker (mother-tongue standard) to teach our Year 4 children. In the Lower Years (Years 1 to 4) the children experience a broad and lively academic curriculum including our French immersion programme. The Year 4 Form Tutor will teach mathematics and humanities in French as well as taking the French lessons and will manage the daily routine of the class. The successful candidate will also teach the French programme to French speaking children.
We are looking for a well-qualified and experienced teacher of primary level children who will be able to inspire enthusiasm in our pupils and help to promote the high cultural and academic ethos of the School.
Hampton Court House is an independent co-educational school. We take children from Nursery (three year olds) to Year 13 (eighteen year olds). The Sixth Form opened in September 2015. In Lower Years (Years 1 to 4), we offer a French immersion programme that enhances the pupils’ cultural, linguistic and cognitive awareness of learning languages. Mathematics, Humanities, Drama, Life Skills are taught in French by the form tutor as well as the French lessons. Each form tutor has an essential part to play in the development and understanding of the children, as they get through their day hearing French consistently.
