We seek an energetic and caring fluent French speaker (mother-tongue standard) to teach our Year 2 children. In the Lower Years (Years 1 to 4) the children experience a broad and lively academic curriculum including our French immersion programme. The Year 2 Form Tutor will teach mathematics, humanities and life skills in French as well as taking the French lessons and will manage the daily routine of the class. The successful candidate will also teach the French programme to French speaking children. This is a full time job.
We are looking for a well-qualified and experienced teacher of primary level children who will be able to inspire enthusiasm in our pupils and help to promote the high cultural and academic ethos of the School.
All our teachers are expected to contribute enthusiastically to the wider life of the school including running lunchtime or after school club, leading motivating assemblies, and organising meaningful workshops and trips. Hampton Court House is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Hampton Court House is an award-winning independent co-educational day school for ages 2 – 18, educating children in Pre-Nursery to students in Year 13. The majority of our pupils elect to stay on to complete their full education with us, enjoying great success in their GCSEs and A Levels.
We strive to lay the foundations of a lifelong love of learning, and it is important to us that children enjoy being here and look forward to coming to school. In keeping with our ethos, we believe that children need some guided freedom in order to develop their independence and confidence to use their voice. Our non-uniform parkland campus environment, in which staff and pupils alike are addressed on a first-name basis, cultivates an energy where our pupils can explore their individuality and style with taste and discretion.
Our programmes offer an extraordinary education. From the Forest School in Early Years and the award-winning LabelFrancÉducation accredited French bilingual programme, to the Nebula Future Researcher’s Programme © in the Sixth Form, Hampton Court House pupils get a headstart every step of the way.
