We are looking for a qualified teacher (of French) to teach French as a foreign language to students from Year 7 (age 11) to Year 11 (age 16). At the end of Year 11, students sit the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in French as a foreign language, with the Pearson EDEXCEL board of examinations. Applicants must be able to speak, read and write English to a reasonable level.
The Benghazi European school is an private, non-profit making International school, which follows the British system of education. All our students speak fluent English and Arabic and sit the EDEXCEL Lower Secondary examinations in English, Maths and Science at the end of Year 9 and IGCSEs in 10/11 subjucts, including French (as a foreign language), at the end of Year 11. All examinations are sent to the UK to be marked and graded.
Candidates must be able to make their lessons interesting and stimulating for the students so that they are excited to be in a French environment in the classroom.
